E.J. Victor Offers Something For Everyone in October
October 2005 was a fantastic showcase of E. J. Victor's
wood and upholstery lines. Never has more upholstery
been introduced - classy frames with fresh fabrics
filled the showroom. E.J. Victor's wood featured
several signature pieces such as the gorgeous mahogany
secretary with removable partition as well as more
feminine bedroom pieces from Julia Gray and Carol Bolton
and a mix of old and new from Randall Tysinger.
This was the second Market for the popular Randall
Tysinger for E.J. Victor collection. Market attendees
enjoyed walls dressed in a deep eggplant color, hip
music, and a cozy ambiance. Eclectic introductions
included an acrylic dining table and cocktail table,
zebraskin fabric adorning dining chairs, and furry
comfort on a favorite sofa from April. The unique
sofa pictured on the far left was created from a late
twentieth century Continental sofa and was declared
a Market Winner by Furniture/Today.
The arm height is an astounding 48 1/2 inches.
Carol Bolton had another wonderful Market of marrying
exquisite fabrics to her signature frames. She also
introduced some pieces with cleaner, simple lines such
as the 405-82 William R. Sofa.
Also new in Carol's collection is a carved wraparound bed. This style of bed is a growing trend - E.J. Victor introduced a bed in the Julia Gray collection with wraparound headboard and footboard. President John Jokinen told Furniture/Today that both sold well. He noted that wrap headboards and footboards create an appealing, cocoon-like effect. “It’s almost like you’re sitting in a sofa,” he said. “There’s a comfort and warmth to it that you just don’t have in a typical bed.”
