- Founded in 1990 by Edward W. Phifer III, Joseph
B. Manderson and John Victor Jokinen, who, beforehand,
held senior executive and sales positions with Henredon Furniture
Ind.
- Immediately joining them were more than 30 long-term Henredon
craftsmen, including the main plants entire veneer department,
and all of whom shared the values and beliefs in the art of
creating excellent, hand-crafted, furniture.
- Initially employed 33 associates (500 local craftsmen applied).
Offered 15 pieces of wood and 10 pieces of upholstered English
reproduction furniture, to select retailers and designers in
the country.
- Today employ over 235 associates in three plants covering
360,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space.
- Current product selection includes wood, upholstered and occasional
furniture.
- Partnered with Pride Sasser Home Furnishings, a designer and
manufacturer of unique accessories and furniture.
- Global distribution.
- Style covers the spectrum From exquisitely formal to
dazzlingly contemporary.
- Licensed collections include Newport, Carol Bolton, Julia
Gray, Randall Tysinger and Caroline Faison.
